Meet the Team | Arts and Rec LLC

Arts and Rec, LLC has grown over the past few years to offer more services to our wonderful students. Our team works hard to bring the most to each of their classes and we’re excited to properly introduce everyone. . .

Julie Quill

Julie Quill | Arts and Rec LLC

Julie Quill, is a local artist and educator. As our CEO, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts (concentration in crafts) as well as a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, both from Bridgewater State University. She has also studied at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design, and has a Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Recreation from SUNY Cortland. She successfully passed the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certifications exam, and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.

Julie has been painting with acrylic and oils for over twenty years and has had her work displayed in several local exhibits on the South Shore, as well as a traveling art show in California. Besides painting, Julie loves weaving: learning different patterns, as well as putting different textures and colors together with the yarn.

Her dedication and commitment to sharing the arts with students comes from her son, who has autism. Sean has inspired Julie to use my talents and education to show how art can not only be fun but also be used to express oneself. As a parent of a child with special needs, Julie understands that it can be difficult to find extracurricular activities that are fun, supportive, and safe.

Eileen Devine

Eileen Devine | Arts and Rec LLC

Eileen is our full-time office manager. She graduated from Johnson and Wales University Providence, RI with a bachelor's degree in hospitality business management and has been lucky enough to live in many New England states.

Eileen holds a level two certificate in Reiki healing energy. She has been a practitioner for the last three years, and feels that the healing energy a person can receive from Reiki is so soothing and calming.

Prior to covid, Eileen owned and operated a cookie business, baking and selling Gluten free cookies at farmers markets and in local stores, and helped to manage a local coffee shop. Meeting so many people has been an inspiration and Eileen is inspired and amazed by the many talents and achievements each individual possesses at Arts and Rec.

One of Eileen’s favorite things to do is go on “field trips” with her nieces and nephews around New England, which is full of history and hidden gems. She loves finding places to see and things to learn and explore in our own backyards.

Kelly Bianchi

Carli Morin | Arts and Rec LLC

Kelly is the newest member of the ARTS AND REC team. She is very excited

about joining the team as a Special Education support staff. Before starting at

the studio Kelly worked at Friends of the homeless, a women and childrens

shelter for 10 years as a family life advocate. She has also worked as a

resource coordinator for Independence Associates. Helping families find the

necessary tools to help individuals with disabilities become and stay independent

in their communities.

Kelly also worked as a paraprofessional in the Weymouth public schools in the life skills classroom for preschoolers. She loves helping people and giving them the resources they need to succeed.

One of Kelly's most important jobs is being Mom to 3 children, Brynn, Evelyn and Caleb. They love to be outdoors, hiking, swimming and exploring new places.

Christine Keane

Carli Morin | Arts and Rec LLC

Christine Keane comes to Arts and Rec with 30+ years of experience. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State College in Motor Development Therapy with a minor in Psychology.  Christine works full time as a Senior Case Manager for South Shore Support Services and really enjoys making a difference in the lives of the people she serves.  In her spare time, Christine likes to spend time with her family, watch interesting documentaries and listen to live music.

Lauren Burt

Carli Morin | Arts and Rec LLC

Lauren has a passion for helping people. She worked in retail for a while but knew that she wanted to do more hands-on work in the community. She studied sign language as a way to get started in this field. In 2021 a relative reached out to ask if she could help out by being a PCA (personal care assistant) for her cousin who has Autism. What was suppose to be a summer job turned into a career. She realized working with individuals with Autism was what she loved to do. In June of 2022 she became an ABA therapist and has been working at the same company on the South Shore for 2 years and would not change it for the world. She started with the Arts and Rec Saturday Program a year and a half ago and loves being part of their team!

Andrea Ruiz-Martell

Andrea is graduating this semester with a degree in Recreational Therapy from an eastern Idaho college. She is completing her internship in arts and rec. She thrives on exploring new experiences and has a wide range of interests, including traveling, hiking, music, pottery, tennis, and snowboarding during the winter. In her role with a mental health program at her school, Andrea supported students with anxiety and depression, helping them develop coping skills to enhance their cognitive, social, physical, and emotional well-being. She also volunteered at a summer camp in Bellville, Texas, for people with disabilities, providing diverse activities to enrich their lives. Andrea believes in pursuing one's passions and focusing energy on activities that allow individuals to escape daily stresses and concentrate on personal growth.
